| Bonjour- my name is Courtney, and I'm a slightly off-kilter seventeen year old who will be starting college in the fall. This journal is most public, with a few posts that concern details of real life friend-locked. I'm quite friendly, though- drop me a line and I will more than likely add you back. I never know what I'm going to be writing about- a daytime narrative, stream of conciousness, bits of angsty fiction. |

| I live for books, words, print on paper and screen. I love philosophy, psychology, aesthetics, and of course literature and poetry. I daydream constantly, and the subjective world is very real to me. I'm a self-professed nerd, and I love musicals and intricate storylines. I collect quotes, and dabble a bit with my digital camera. I play the piano and flute, and I valiantly attempt to sing, though I keep my tone-deaf warbling confined to the comforting walls of my car. |

| I have many fandom loves- from musicals like Wicked, Les Miserables, and Sweeney Todd to movies like The Illusionist and The Princess Bride to books like Jane Eyre, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Twilight, Lolita, and Sylvia Plath's poetry, to tv shows like The Office. The characters in things like these are so real to me. I enjoy music from amazing bands like Fair, Relient K, Anberlin, The Classic Crime, Foreigner, and endless lists of others. A current love is the instrumental soundtrack to The Illusionist. |
